GHAMRO is Ghana's music rights organization, managing performance rights and protecting creator income. We administer performing rights on behalf of our members - composers, authors, publishers, performers and record producers.
Our Mission
Ghana's Music Advocate - the trusted partner for music rights whenever, however, and wherever music is played.
To license music users, collect, and distribute music royalties to music right holders (Copyright Regulation L.I 1962, Copyright Amendment Regulation L.I 2469).
This consists of the membership which includes lyricists, composers, arrangers, performers, publishers, and sub-publishers.
GHAMRO's constitution provides under Article 4.2 for a 7-member board, 3 composers, 2 performers, 1 publisher, 1 producer of sound recordings. However, currently, GHAMRO is under the oversight of 5 directors.
